Carly and Andys Wedding at De Courceys

2020 is going to be an exciting year..!

Sunday 3rd November saw a very special evening for the whole team at De Courceys Manor! Dressed to the nines (or the best we could manage!) we travelled to Brangwyn Hall in Swansea attend the annual awards ceremony.

The Welsh National Wedding Awards is widely recognised to be the most prestigious and long running awards in the industry, so to be nominated in the category of ‘Best Venue’ in itself was a huge achievement.

Our category of South East Wales covered Cardiff, Monmouth, Torfaen, Blaenau Gwent and Caerphilly, and included 5 other fantastic venues. We were arguably up against some of the best wedding venues in Wales so when our name was called, we were ecstatic!

Having bought the business out of bankruptcy in November 2009 we knew we were taking a huge risk as a family, as the Manor was badly rundown. It soon became evident that in order to create anything we would be proud of would require hard work and dedication.

Flash forward 10 years and the whole Manor has been refurbished from top to toe, not to mention the addition of our boutique Wedding Apartment and our gorgeous country cottages.

Winning the award of ‘Best Venue’ feels like such an incredible achievement and an amazing way to celebrate our 10-year anniversary!

2020 will bring more exciting developments with the launch of our Pamper and Prep Suite in the spring. Accommodating up to 6 guests the night before the wedding, we will have the perfect setting to prepare for the most important day of your life. Surrounded by De Courceys Manor signature luxury, the emphasis, as always, will be in the detail!
